Sonam Sakhuja hails form Raipur and is currently studying at the Accademia di Costume e di Moda in Rome, Italy. The 23 year old designer has completed her highest profile collaboration to date by designing a pair of statement earrings in the shape of the “B” from Blumarine’s logo which have now been launched across Blumarine stores along with the brand’s latest collection.

Blumarine, launched by Anna Molinari and her late husband Gianpaolo Tarabini in 1977, worked with the Accademia di Costume e di Moda for a semester which is when the brand discovered Sakhuja. “It was unbelievable,” Sakhuja told Elle India about the experience. “I am looking to continue this association.”

Sakhuja has previously collaborated with the Italian jewellery labels Falcinelli and Chevalier Project and is also currently working on designing timepieces for the Italian watchmaker Verdastro and Litas. Prior to studying in Rome, Sakhuja had completed a course in fashion design at Soft in Pune.
