Snapdeal resumes services amid lockdown with focus on essential goods - Snapdeal

Snapdeal has collaborated with local grocers, wholesalers and local stores for the smooth supply of goods in the metro and other cities.

Unlike other e-commerce firms, which are accepting order only for essential items, Snapdeal is accepting orders for both essential and non-essential items but stated that essential items will get top priority for delivery.

“Accounting for the supply chain disruptions, we have focused on strengthening local operations. Currently, we are prioritizing deliveries of essentials and other deliveries will commence once the lockdown restrictions are lifted," a Snapdeal spokesperson said in a statement.

“Apart from groceries, medicines, and food items, the company plans to deliver items such as glucose monitors, sugar testing strips, and BP monitors, on priority too,” the statement added.

E-commerce services for essential products in India have received federal and state government assurances on the safety of its delivery staff and a hassle-free supply chain. Flipkart, Amazon, Grofers, and others have already started operations with others following in their footsteps.
