Snapdeal partners with GoKwik for AI insights

Fashion and lifestyle retailer Snapdeal has partnered with e-commerce enablement business GoKwik to gain greater customer insights through artificial intelligence technology.  

Snapdeal is gearing up for its IPO and focuses on products in the value segment of the market - Snapdeal


Snapdeal aims to offer its shoppers an enhanced and customised shopping experience through its tie-up with GoKwik, the business announced in a press release. By using AI, the business aims to tailor its services to its customers’ needs. 
 
“With Snapdeal’s extensive connect with emerging online buyers, especially across India’s smaller cities and towns, implementation of new digital technologies is an important part of our strategy to enhance user experience,” said Snapdeal’s vice president Sarvartha Kanchan in a statement, ET Bureau reported. “GoKwik’s AI/ ML-enabled model will help us offer a customised experience that factors in the diversity amidst our user base.” 

Through the tie-up, Snapdeal will also use GoKwik's automated address correction to enable it to verify the accuracy of customer addresses. The business sees 72% of its orders come from non-metro locations which makes this feature particularly useful. 
 
“It gives us immense pride to partner with Snapdeal, one of the pioneers in Indian e-commerce space,” said GoKwik’s CEO and founder Chirag Taneja.

“GoKwik is aimed at creating customised, robust and effective solutions that will act as the fuel to smoothen the shopping experience for new and regular online shoppers. We look forward to deploying our AI algorithms in support of Snapdeal’s mission to go deeper into India’s Tier 3 and 4 cities.”

Snapdeal has recently introduced a number of partnerships to augment its services for buyers in smaller cities. The business recently tied up with BoB Financial and NPCI to launch co-branded, contactless RuPay credit cards targeted at non-metro consumers.
