Snapchat has finally released its Snapchat sunglasses online at Spectacles.com. The shades, which record ten-second video increments, had previously only been available at pop-up vending machines in surprise locations and at a now closed-NYC pop-up store.

The round-lens glasses come in three different colors – teal, coral, and black. The shades are only available to shoppers within the United States, with an anticipated delivery time of between two and four weeks.

The glasses record 10-second video clips and send them straight to the Snapchat app. This gives the wearer the ability to film the events around them from a no-hands, first-person perspective.

Snapchat’s spectacles were first announced by the tech brand in September of 2016. The spectacles were first released to the public in California via a Snapchat-branded vending machine, the Snapbot, selling out within hours. Following the initial release, the glasses were selling for over $900 on eBay, a huge increase from the $130 purchase price. The yellow vending machines proceeded to pop up in cities around the United States, with little to no warning as to where and when they would appear.

The technology website TechCrunch report that Snapchat has confirmed that "Snapbots will continue to land in surprising locations around the U.S. following a brief "nap" :)"

Buyers wanting to purchase online should expect to wait two to four weeks for their Spectacles to ship.
Charging cases can also be purchased priced at $49.99 with charging cords at retailing at $9.99. Both products will no longer be sold on Amazon.
