Skinella launches mobile app and pageant

Skincare brand Skinella has launched an app for IOS and Android platforms to promote its superfoods-based products and host its “Skinderella” beauty pageant.

Skinella’s new mobile app allows users to shop its entire product selection and apply for its upcoming beauty pageant. The Skinderella beauty pageant will hold its third season, its first using the new Skinella app, in 2020. Contestants are now able to register for the pageant on the app and applications are open until January 15, 2020. The app has already seen 4,500 downloads, according to the brand’s press release, and the aim is to create a community through the app.  

“We are proud to witness the traction that Skinderella has created in such a short while,” said the brand’s founder and director, Dolly Kumar, in a press release. “The idea behind launching this pageant was to help young girls question the age-old beauty norms and find their own meaning of beauty. It is overwhelming to see that over thousands of girls have joined our initiative. This year, we will go above and beyond with Skinderella, allowing participants to have a seamless experience through our app.”

The brand next plans to launch app-exclusive loyalty programmes and expects that the app will see 20,000 new registrations for the Skinderella beauty pageant and around 40,000 app downloads over the coming few months.

Dolly Kumar, founder of Cosmic Nutracos Solutions Pvt. Ltd., launched Skinella as a subsidiary in 2017 following three years of research. The brand’s target audience is girls and young women aged between 15 and 25 years old.
