Skagen Denmark celebrated its 30th anniversary with the launch of its Danish-inspired jewellery collection in the Indian market, along with a new range of watches.
The Fossil Group-owned brand celebrated the occasion in the national capital Delhi at the Embassy of Denmark with an event hosted by the Ambassador of Denmark to India, Freddy Svane.
After tasting success in India with its watches, Skagen is now banking on its jewellery line for future growth in the Indian market. The jewellery line includes rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more.
Commenting on the jewellery launch in India, Anita Vogel brand director at Skagen Denmark, Asia Pacific in a statement said: “Skagen Denmark is today creating watches and jewellery with the design principle of Hygge and minimalist design. We are happy to bring our jewellery to India that is based on simplicity -- capturing only what's truly essential in an uncomplicated, great-looking way.”
Johnson Verghese managing director Fossil Group India added: “Our Danish design inspired watches have seen great success in India over the last 10 years and to celebrate this success and milestone we are extremely excited to launch our collection of Skagen Jewellery in India. Our understanding of the modern Indian consumer has inspired us to bring in the globally accepted ethos of modern, functional and simple design through our jewellery.”
Skagen also launched its holiday 2019 collection, which will be available at retail outlets and partner channels across India.
Apart from Skagen, Fossil Group also owns brands like Fossil, Michele, Misfit, Relic, and Zodiac. It is also the licensed partener for Armani Exchange, Chaps, Diesel, DKNY, Emporio Armani, Kate Spade New York, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Puma and Tory Burch.
