Sixth India Trend Fair showcases Indian clothing in Tokyo, Japan

The India Trend Fair held its sixth edition in Tokyo, Japan to showcase Indian-made clothing and accessories to Japanese buyers with the Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council and over 120 brands.

The India Trend Fair took place at TOC Gotanda Messe in Shinagawa, Tokyo from February 12 to 14, the event announced on Facebook. The trade show described itself as a ‘Business Matching Event’ and focused on knitted and woollen clothing, as Japan is a major world market for wool, wool blended, and other textile products. 
 
The event featured over 300 product categories, and over 25 pavilions. Around 500 buyers and over 2,500 visitors attended the event with an approximate mix of 79% industry professionals and 21% local consumers, according to the W&WEPC.

A wide range of ready made garments and home textiles were on show with the aim of increasing exports to Japan through networking facilitated by the trade show. The W&WEPC brought a number of Indian businesses to the event and participating brands included Poornima Handicrafts, Roha International, and Velez, among others. 
 
The trade show will hold its summer edition from July 1 to July 3 in Tokyo. The event expects around 150 Indian businesses to participate.
