Six models to scorch the runway at LFW Winter/Festive 2017
Lakmé Fashion Week will give the Indian fashion and modelling industry six more new faces at its LFW Winter/Festive 2017 edition. Pavitra Malaiappan, Aditti Anand, Soumya S, Raksha Belliappa, Devika Bhanguni, Esha Gohil will all look to sizzle on the runway this Winter/Festive season after winning the LFW model auditions at Bangalore.
Last year, Anjali Lama made history as the first transgender model to walk the runway at Lakme Fashion Week in India after coming through model auditions.
Supermodel Sonalika Sahay, Show Director Anu Ahuja, Fashion Choreographer and Stylist Prasad Bidapa, Head of Fashion, IMG Reliance Jaspreet Chandok, IMG International model scouts Luis Domingo and Victoria Da Silva were the jury members for the Bangalore event.
Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation, Lakmé said the models showcased “vibrant personalities and a bold freshness”. “The winners for this Winter/Festive season show a lot of potential and will surely take the runway by storm," said Lamba.
LFW organisers held the model hunt in partnership with TRESemmé at Mumbai and Bangalore. Nicole Padival, Daman Brar, Kiyara and Roshmitha Harimurthy were the winners from the Mumbai auditions.
Lakme Fashion Week has given the fashion industry some big names like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and more recently Bhumika Arora who have all gone on to make it big on global runways.
