The designer has a soft opening for his New Delhi flagship store last month but Saturday will see the official launch of both his new store and his 2018 couture collection. The shop resides in New Delhi’s Qutub Boulevard and is a large, open area where modern concrete and luxe gold create a contrast that still allows the garments on display to remain the main focus of the space.

Tytler posted on social media expressing his great joy at opening a flagship store and went on to say about his upcoming collection: “The Couture 2018 collection is something really close to my heart and it reflects the true nature of luxury and is synonymous to everything elegant.” The collection will focus on eveningwear for both men and women and will include around 70 pieces.

Tytler also said: “Our designs this season have been incorporated in such a way which gives the collection an Indian look and feel with a contemporary twist and we are really excited to have Sidharth Malhotra as the show stopper. I believe Sidharth will be able to provide full justification to my clothing.” This will not be the first time Malhotra has walked in a fashion show as he has also walked in events by Kunal Rawal and Manish Malhotra.

Siddartha Tytler launched his eponymous brand in 2002 and specialises in eveningwear but also carries ready to wear items. Tytler’s designs, along with now being available in his flagship store, are also available online such as in Pernia’s Pop-up Shop and the brand is a regular at the Bridal Asia exhibition.
