On Tuesday, Siddartha Tytler presented a digital showcase for his latest men’s and womenswear collection titled ‘Ambrosia’, creating an ethereal, androgynous aesthetic on day two of India Couture Week’s current online edition.

This season, Siddartha Tytler dressed both men and women in anarkalis in subtle neutral tones. Sequin details adorned both men’s and womenswear along with floral motifs and gold borders. Lehengas and sherwanis in cotton silk chanderis featured alongside garments in silk taffeta, silk organza, silk tissue, and gorgettes.

Traditional style jewellery was provided by Archana Aggarwal Timeless Jewellery, the official jewellery partner for this season of India Couture Week. Both men and women were adorned not only with bridal style necklaces, but also lashings of gold leaf, both in their hair and on their faces with swirling designs, adding another androgynous element to the collection. Faux gold piercings added a modern touch.

Actor Aditya Seal was Siddartha Tytler’s showstopper this season and he was dressed in an off white robe featuring a deep v-neck. The simplicity of Seal’s outfit served to highlight the subtle elegance of the textile and made for a delicate balance of masculinity and femininity.

India Couture Week launched its second digital edition on Monday with a schedule featuring 19 designers. The online fashion week will conclude on August 29 and is organised by the Fashion Design Council of India in association with the Hindustan Times.
