In a bid to increase sustainability in its business, Shree Ramkrishna Exports has created a 100% reusable diamond packet made from durable and high-quality paper, which can be used multiple times for transporting diamonds, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council announced on its website. The packet has a sticker, which can be peeled off without harming the packet, the business said in a statement.

The packet also has a “window of hope," which allows the diamond owner to check the diamond is there without having to open the packaging. The packet is designed to increase security and decrease handling time in diamond viewings.

In 2019, Shree Ramkrishna Exports launched its traceability initiative 'The Footprints', which aims to increase transparency on diamond origin. The programme is certified by British Standard Institute with a PAS 7000 certificate.

Shree Ramkrishna Exports launched in 2012 at the Bharat Diamond Bourse. The business has around 3,500 employees, according to Bloomberg, and produces diamond jewellery such as necklaces, rings, and related products.
