Shoppers Stop opens first Bihar store in Patna

Shoppers Stop has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in the state of Bihar in Patna’s City Centre Mall. The fashion and beauty retailer’s new address measures 35,000 square feet and houses over 500 Indian and international brands.

The new store features a ‘Personal Shoppers Lounge’ where the store’s personal shoppers will advise customers on fits and sizes of clothing, Shoppers Stop announced in a press release on October 14 . The outlet also has a lounge area equipped with fitting rooms, free wifi, and food and beverage options.
“We wanted to make an impactful entry into Bihar and this store in Patna is a step in that direction,” said Shoppers Stop’s customer care associate, managing director, and CEO Venu Nair in a press release. “Following a hyperlocal customer outreach strategy, we have personalised the product offerings at the store basis the customer preferences in different parts of the city. We have made significant progress over the years in bringing convenience to our customers by providing a tailored and service-backed shopping experience. By increasing our brand's presence and market share in the region, we hope to further reinforce the high customer loyalty and brand recall we have in markets across the country.”
The Patna store opening is part of Shoppers Stop’s retail expansion plan to open between 10 and 12 stores a year. Brands which feature in the new store include Jack and Jones, Levis, Celio, And, Vero Moda, Only, MAC, JJ Kids, Adidas, Puma, and Renne among others.
“The new store of Shoppers Stop at City Centre Mall, Patna is the biggest store after Kolkata,” said Nair. “It’s spearheading the future we have for Shoppers Stop and that also reflects our commitment to our loyal customers. It is a matter of pride to have our new, store at one of the most prominent and central locations in the capital of Bihar. With this new store, the brand has enhanced its presence across 91 department stores in 48 cities.”
