The company wants to ensure safety and hygiene by minimizing people-to-people contact, as part of the guidelines of the authorities and health officials.

Shopclues recently started its operations and will be selling food items, medicines, and medical equipment to its customers located across the country during the 21-day lockdown period. Commenting on the initiative, Vikrant Pathak, senior director, logistics at Shopclues in a statement said: “The safety of our employees and customers is of utmost priority for us. To curb the spread of this virus we have to fight it. We are delivering our products to our customers while adhering to all government guidelines.”

The Gurugram-based Shopclues has more than 350 employees and 7,00,000 merchants across the country. It claims to have a customer base of over 60 million customers in India.
