Shopclues appoints Anuraag Gambhir as managing director
Value online marketplace Shopclues has elevated Anuraag Gambhir from the position of senior director to managing director of the company.
In his new role, Gambhir will lead the company’s next phase of growth with focus on cross-border trade expansion and be responsible for the overall running of the marketplace.
Commenting on his new role, Anuraag Gambhir in a statement said, “We see a great opportunity in cross border trade and want to focus on import and export through global partner websites that control more than $3.5 billion yearly of gross merchandise value.”
“Moreover, we are working as a close-service partner with the Indian government on projects like the Government e-Marketplace for the past four years. My vision for Shopclues is to make it a self-sustaining organisation that is not dependent on constant funding,” he added.
Gambhir has been working as a senior director at Shopclues from 2019. Prior to that, he has worked with companies like Accenture and Snapdeal.
The Gurugram-based Shopclues completed 10 years in the Indian market this year. It currently sells retail goods across fashion, home decor covering over 31,500 pin codes across the country.
