Shivani Awasty launches latest collection at Aza showcase

Designer Shivani Awasty held an exclusive showcase event at luxury multi-brand boutique Aza’s Altamount Store in Mumbai for her eponymous brand. The event was hosted by fashion influencers Hanna Khan and Ishna Batra. 

Awasty presented womenswear collection Syn-the-sis to a select group of Mumbai’s luxury shoppers, the brand announced in a press release. The collection focused on fusion style occasion wear with jewel tones, lashings if glitter, and sleek silhouettes. Guests at the event included actress Vidya Malavade and influencer Khushnaaz Turner among others. 
 
“The ocean is a mysterious form of nature, often calm, but the exhilarating waves can immerse one in its complexities,” the brand wrote about the collection in a press release. “The glimmering ocean captivates one’s soul with its aura the same way fashion does. Nature has its fashion, and this essence is captured by Shivani Awasty’s Autumn-Winter’22 collection Syn-the-sis inspired by the ocean.”

Shivani Awasty launched her eponymous brand in 2016 as a luxury prêt label after graduating from fashion institute Central Saint Martins in London, UK. The designer went on to launch tandem label Vione in 2017 and both brands are known for their 3D detailing, smocking, and basket weaving among other techniques.
