Shiseido signs partnership with Shoppers Stop to expand India presence

Shiseido Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has signed a strategic distribution partnership with Shoppers Stop subsidiary Global SS Beauty Brands Limited to expand its presence in the Indian market.

With this partnership, the Shiseido Group will officially launch its global make-up brand, Nars Cosmetics at the Shoppers Stop stores across India.

Shiseido sees huge growth potential in the booming beauty market in India and expects this partnership to help it gain a larger market share in the premium beauty segment.

Commenting on the partnership, Nicole Tan, president CEO at Shiseido Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in a statement said, “We believe this a great time to expand our presence in India, and we are thrilled to have formalised the partnership with Shoppers Stop. We look forward to leveraging their deep experience in premium beauty as well as their extensive network and omnichannel presence, to bring one of our most-loved make-up brands, Nars, to consumers in India.”

Shiseido headquartered in Japan is amongst the top 5 global beauty manufacturers with make-up and fragrance brands like Nars, Drunk Elephant, Clé de Peau Beauté, Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake and Serge Lutens, amongst others.
