Shiffa Curated to bring Indian luxury fashion to Dubai

Beauty brand-head Dr Lamees Hamdan and fashion journalist Sujata Assomull will open Shiffa Curated, a multi-brand luxury boutique in Waldorf Astoria DIFC, Dubai, this summer and bring in a range of Indian designers. 

Hamdan and Assomull held a store preview this week for their upcoming luxury boutique Shiffa Curated, which is scheduled to open in summer. The boutique has an international brand selection but will bring a number of Indian labels to Dubai as part of the boutique’s aim to curate a range of brands that reflects Dubai’s style diversity.

“I visit India for shopping trips at least once a year as I love Indian craft, and usually sit with the artisans to customise my pieces. So yes, Indian brands will definitely feature in the store,” Assomull told Vogue India about her plans for the upcoming store. 

Some of the brands that will feature include the Indian traditional wear designers Abraham & Thakore and a special line by Anita Dongre. The store will also feature Hamdan’s own beauty and skincare brand Shiffa Beauty as well as fine jewellery by Lubhyati and L’atelier Nawbar. The boutique will be the duo’s first collaborative venture and will focus on handcrafted luxury.
