Shantanu & Nikhil to step into fragrances
Luxury fashion brand Shantanu & Nikhil plans to add perfumes to its product selection. The brand received an investment of Rs 60 crore ($9 million) from Aditya Birla last year and recently launched an e-commerce store.
Shantanu & Nikhil, a brand known for its fusion style couture, will launch a perfume line, co-founder Shantanu Mehra told the Economic Times. The brand, which is celebrating its twentieth birthday, is taking numerous steps to expand its brand this year.
Last year, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail invested in the brand, enabling Shantanu & Nikhil to launch a dedicated e-commerce store with international shipping to bring its designs to the international market and target global consumers. The brand also launched a new ready-to-wear brand S&N this year, and released its first menswear and womenswear collection in August, illustrating how bullish the brand is on expanding its distribution network and product selection.
The design-duo recently showcased their latest men’s and women’s couture collection ‘Resurgence’ at India Couture Week with a fashion film and launched the collection simultaneously on its e-commerce store allowing people to ‘shop the runway’.
