Shahin Mannan showcases Avant Garde style with showstopper Zeenat Aman at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI

Designer Shahin Mannan presented a bold and eclectic menswear and womenswear collection named ‘Circle’ on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India. 

Mannan’s new collection explored themes of unity and harmony with bold silhouettes and graphic details, the brand announced in a press release on March 12. Garments were designed to signify infinite possibilities and endless creativity while playful layering added intrigue.   
 
“It’s always amazing to be here at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI,” said Mannan in a press release. “We were thrilled to present our latest collection inspired by the circle, a symbol of infinite possibilities and endless creativity. Our designs feature circular motifs and patterns that evoke a sense of movement, rhythm, and harmony. With each piece, we aimed to capture the beauty and versatility of the circle and translate it into a bold and contemporary fashion statement. Zeenat Aman ji was simply spectacular as our show stopper, she stole the show.”

Textiles included denim and Japanese crepe and the majority of looks had a black base and were accented in reds and blues. Both the men’s and womenswear featured bold prints with motifs including houses, circles, and measuring tapes among others. 
 
Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI ran in Mumbai from March 9 to 12. The fashion week featured an array of runway shows as well as a number of sustainable initiatives and a designer sale.
