The second edition of the international textile technology and engineering show, GTTES 2019, will be held by the India ITME Society in Mumbai from January 18 to 20 and will welcome over 400 exhibitors from around 48 countries.

Following its maiden event, GTTES has reported a 26 percent growth rate and has secured 168 companies as first time participators who had not yet before taken part in any ITME event. Due to the event’s low participation fee, it attracts a number of small businesses and start-ups from non-metro cities, according to the event’s press release.

The upcoming event will see the countries Sri Lanka and Slovenia participate for the first time as well as Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Turkey, UK, USA, Taiwan, Algeria, Djibouti, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Senegal among others. The event aims to act as a business gateway to India for international businesses and will facilitate interactions with relevant export promotion councils. The event also welcomes domestic companies and aims to facilitate networking between them.

In the six months leading up to the trade show, 18 promotional activities were conducted in India and abroad. The event has reported an increase in the number of foreign delegates attending the event on behalf of businesses.

The event will also hold a number of conferences including the “International Conference on Nonwoven Technical Textiles” and “Educating the Technology Innovations in Textile Colouration”, which will be held on January 19 and 20, respectively. An industry interaction session will also take place and textile machinery and related standards will also be showcased.
