Saundh builds free Covid-19 treatment facility in Surat

Womenswear brand Saundh has built a 175-bed free Covid-19 treatment facility in Surat near its garment factory and has distributed food to government hospitals among other charitable initiatives.

Through its corporate social responsibility arm Ikjot, Saundh has built a facility where Covid-19 positive people in Surat can go to seek free treatment, the Telegraph India reported. The brand has also made daily food donations to five hospitals of 10 dozen bananas and 1,000 buttermilk packets and is giving financial and logistical aid to people who have lost loved-ones to Covid-19 and cannot fund their last-rites. 
 
“As the country battles the second wave of the pandemic, we have all come together in many ways to help and support the community,” the brand announced on Facebook. “Saundh from its inception has been all about building a tribe that shares a value system and leans on each other. We have never been vocal about our CSR arm Ikjot that continuously strives to better the community, provide aid, and help those who need it the most.”

The brand also recently released its latest collection ‘Raag’ for spring/ summer 2021, it announced on Facebook. The bohemian style collection features loose, embroidered dresses and separates inspired by traditional Jamdaani weaves. 

Saundh retails from its dedicated e-commerce store and its flagship stores in Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur. The brand also retails from multi-brand stores in cities including Raipur, Nagpur, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Rourkela, Jammu, and Ludhiana among others.
