Saritoria partners with Tanya Ghavri for pre-loved Bollywood closet sale

Clothing resale platform Saritoria has partnered with celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri to hold an online sale of clothing Ghavri has styled for Bollywood celebrities at red carpet events. The sale has launched exclusively on Saritoria’s shopping app. 

Ghavri’s selection of womenswear includes pieces she has previously styled for Bollywood celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, and Ananya Pandey among others. “Tanya will be among the first stylists in India to be a part of the preloved revolution at a global scale, allowing consumers to shop exclusive pieces from her wardrobe, to promote sustainability,” the business announced in a press release on April 12. 
 
“I am exhilarated to announce my decision to join the preloved revolution and be part of the circular economy by doing a wardrobe cleanse with Saritoria and giving some of the most-loved pieces a new home,’’ said Ghavri in a press release. “I am looking forward to joining hands with Saritoria to sell preloved designer pieces and give them a new lease of life in a willing buyer’s wardrobe. Especially in a world that, due to humankind’s polluting excesses, is coming apart at the seams. I am keen to normalise the notion of second-hand shopping in India – you can buy stylish, one-of-a-kind pieces at a fraction of their original cost while also saving the planet.”

Entrepreneurs and fashion designers Pernia Qureshi and Shehlina Soomro launched Saritoria in 2020 with the aim of offering shoppers luxury South Asian fashion for affordable prices while promoting circularity in the fashion industry. The platform enables users to sell their pre-loved premium fashion and shop a wide range of designer brands, with products that have been verified as genuine by the business’ in-house team.
