Santoor signs Mahesh Babu, Varun Dhawan as brand ambassadors

Indian FMCG company Wipro Consumer Care’s personal care brand Santoor has named south Indian actor Mahesh Babu as its new brand ambassador.

Mahesh Babu has endorsed the brand in the past and helped boost sales of Santoor in south India, while Varun has been signed to boost the visibility of the brand across India.
 
Anil Chugh, president, consumer care business at Wipro, in a statement said: “Celebrities helps us to deliver this message sharply in the film, apart from helping to break the clutter and gain high brand recall. Over the years we have carefully chosen celebrities for Santoor. Keeping the essence of Santoor in mind, stars Varun Dhawan and Mahesh Babu were the perfect fit to tell our new story of the Santoor Woman.”

While talking about his association with the brand, Mahesh Babu added, “Santoor is a brand that has always celebrated womanhood. It is one of the leading brands in the country right now and I am really proud that I am associated with them.”
 
Varun Dhawan added, “Santoor is a brand that has been in India for over 35 years and the first to bring in turmeric and sandalwood. It is an honor for me to be associated with Santoor.”
 
Launched in 1986 as natural ingredient soap, Santoor recently became the country’s first soap brand to cross sales of Rs 2,000 crore ($278.5 million).
 
Santoor is one of India’s leading personal care brands with a vast portfolio that includes talcum powder, deodorants, liquid soap, handwash, facewash, and more.
