Following mother group SMCP’s acquisition by American investment firm KKR this spring, U.S. development of French brand Sandro has become a priority for the company. Last month the label opened two standalone stores in Brooklyn and Beverly Hills.

Sandro’s Beverly Hills location – which measures roughly 100m² - marks the company’s second Californian address, adding to its San Francisco store which opened this summer. A second Los Angeles store is scheduled to open in a few weeks’ time in the Beverly Center Mall.

Sandro’s Brooklyn store brings the company’s New York total to six stores. Its latest opening in the Williamsburg area measures 195m² and carries both the brand’s womens- and menswear collections.

In the coming months, the label hopes to increase its U.S. presence from 9 to 13 standalone stores by adding two addresses in Florida (Miami and Palm Beach) and one in Chicago. Aside from its network of directly-owned stores, Sandro also counts around 40 concessions in department stores across the country and four in Canada.
