Samshék holds plus-size styling event in Pune to promote fashion technology

Womenswear brand Samshék raised awareness on fashion technology with its recent plus-size styling event at its Pune store on December 21. The event promoted digital garment customisation for sustainable design.

 
Samshék’s exclusive brand outlet in Seasons Mall, Pune, welcomed a group of influencers and fashion enthusiasts on Saturday, the brand announced in a press release. The interactive styling event aimed to promote using technology, including body scanning and digital customisation, to both make the business more sustainable and cater to women’s varied sizing needs. 
 
“Samshék is a tech fashion brand, and we work on zero waste policy, sustainability and digital customisation,” said store manager Bakir Manasawala, in the brand’s press release.

“We have a concept of 3-D body scanner, which takes 150 measurements in five seconds. We are customising sizes from XS to 9XL, which helps consumers to get the perfect fit according to your body type. Because not everybody fits into the mainstream retail clothing system.” 
 
Guests saw what kinds of outfits would suit them, using Samshék’s virtual customisation process and a fashion consultant was on hand to offer styling tips.

The brand aims to expand in India and internationally, hold more interactive events, and be a forerunner in fashion technology, in the coming five years.
