Samant Chauhan to showcase 'New Born' at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week

Designer Samant Chauhan will present a ‘phygital’ presentation for his fall/winter 2021 womenswear collection ‘New Born’ at the first Fashion Design Council of India and Lakme Fashion Week joint event.

On March 20, Samant Chauhan will showcase his latest collection with a mix of physical and digital elements and the show will be broadcast on the FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week’s social media including Facebook and Instagram and respective websites, the brand announced in a press release. The collection will focus on handloom textiles and experimental silhouettes with a silvery colour palette and glittering embellishments. 
 
“New born collection by Samant will  be a representation of celebrating life,” said the brand in a press release. “

It gives a strong message which is: overlook all the darkness within and emerge out a new you. The exquisite florals with the right balance of shimmer and shine in the outfit indicates the balance that we need to honour this year in our lives. The dramatic garments with interesting sleeves and flowery fabric gives you freedom to move out and get ready for the  party.”

FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week will run from March 16 to 21, sponsored by Rise Worldwide and Nexa. By mixing online and offline elements, the fashion event aims to adapt to the post-Covid ‘new normal’ and engage a wider audience.
