Saks Off 5th to grow Bengaluru team in 2023

Discount luxury fashion retailer Saks Off 5th is committed to continued growth in India and plans to expand its team in Bengaluru in 2023. The US-based business recently sent its executive leadership team to its Bengaluru office to this end. 

The executive leadership team of Saks Off 5th visited its Bengaluru office last week to discuss the company's future trajectory with associates, the business announced in a press release. “At Saks Off 5th, our people are at the centre of everything we do,” said Saks Off 5th president and CEO Paige Thomas in a press release. “Our team in Bangalore is integral to our business, and I am thrilled to visit for the first time since I joined the organisation in 2020. We continue to look to India as an incredible source of talent to support our growing business as we work to fulfil our mission of providing access to modern luxury to everyone.”
 
The business is focusing on a digital-first operating model in India and working to ameliorate its customer experience, according to the press release. Saks Off 5th currently counts 220 employees at its Bengaluru office working in sectors including data analytics, business intelligence, supply chain operations, finance, HR, IT, and merchant operations among others. 

“Our Saks Off 5th Bangalore team has played a vital role in driving our business and operational growth, and the team itself has doubled in size over the past 12 months to support our business,” said the business’ chief operating officer Shivi Shankaran. “As we continue to expand our Engineering, Transportation, Customer Service, Digital Operations and Merchant Operations capabilities, we are focused on shifting additional functional ownership areas to this talented team to enhance our customer experience. With this in mind, we expect to continue to grow our team in Bangalore in 2023.”

Saks Off 5th has stores in the US, Canada, and online and set up its India office in 2017. The business aims to provide premium fashion brands at value prices.
