“Sajke is going international,” the brand announced on Facebook as it expands into new markets. The brand is also expanding its product selection to offer homeware items ranging from macrame pouffes to cloth coasters. Other recent additions to its product selection include fabric necklaces and other handmade accessories among others.

The brand’s e-commerce store now includes a dedicated ‘home and living’ section as well as an ‘accessories’ section in addition to its clothing lines. Sajke has also expanded into menswear, offering a maiden line of  ‘Nawab shirts’ featuring bold prints and Nazar iconography.

Sajke is pursuing sustainable manufacturing practices by eliminating fabric waste, Business Standard reported. The brand is turning fabric offcuts from its garments into book covers and reusable packaging cases and uses Global Organic Textile Standard certified vendors for its cotton.

Divya Advani Bharwani launched Sajke in 2019 with her sister Bhavna Panjabi as she took over her late father’s business. The brand retails through its dedicated e-commerce site and incorporates traditional Indian craft techniques including Kalamkari, Ajrakh, and hand block printing into its designs, aiming to promote these traditions to younger shoppers.
