SaffronArt to hold luxury resale auction online

From June 1 to 2, SaffronArt will hold a luxury auction online featuring an array of second hand, international brand accessories and watches. Viewings have launched at its space in Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

The online auction will feature numerous handbags by brands including Hermès and Chanel as well as watches by brands including Jaeger-LeCoultre, Girard-Perregaux, and Patek Philippe among others, SaffronArt announced on Instagram. As most of the items in the auction are no longer available to purchase new or have long waiting lists to order, the auction is designed to offer rare items to the public. 

“There’s been an incredible rise in the resale value of these items primarily because the demand has increased so much and the supply remains limited,” SaffronArt’s CEO and co-founder Danish Vazirani told Vogue India. “The wait period to get top-end watches and handbags is substantial. So, if people are getting an opportunity to buy them in an auction such as this one, I’m sure they’ll jump in.”

Established in the year 2000, SaffronArt is an international auction house based in Mumbai, New Delhi, London, and New York. The auction house’s upcoming auction will be held on behalf of the Directorate of Enforcement.
