Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has opened a store dedicated to jewellery at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills. Sabyasachi Jewellery also launched an exclusive cocktail ring collection.

Sabyasachi’s jewellery line is now available in Hyderabad, the designer announced on Facebook. The new store opened its doors on January 21 and is now open seven days a week.
To launch the store in Hyderabad, the eponymous designer met with a group of the area’s most established socialites at a lunch hosted at 101 Dining Table. Guests included philanthropist Sudha Reddy of the Meil Group who arrived at the venue in a horse drawn carriage wearing an ensemble comprising of a Neeta Lulla bespoke gown and Dolce & Gabbana accessories, Reddy’s team announced in a press release.
Sabyasachi has launched an exclusive jewellery collection inspired by his hometown of Kolkata named ‘The North Calcutta Cocktail Ring Collection’, the brand announced on Facebook on January 22. With statement rings inspired by the grandeur of Kolkata, the collection mixes antique charm with precise craftsmanship.
“Growing up in Calcutta, I was fascinated by how the private was so much more exuberant than the public,” Sabyasachi Mukherjee wrote on Facebook about the collection. “Hand embroidered chemises and printed satin petticoats under humble cotton sarees, decrepit homes with extravagant art and Osler chandeliers, and the most magnificent of terrazzo floors hidden beneath dusty carpets. Perhaps that’s is why the back of my jewellery is as lavish as the front.”
