The Sabyasachi limited-edition collection features coffee cups with vintage-style illustrations of flora and fauna, a classic motif in Sabyasachi designs, in red, black, and green. ‘To-go’ cups also feature with the line-drawn illustrations on a taller, reusable flask. The Sabyasachi X Starbucks line will be available to purchase in Tata Starbucks outlets across India from April 12, the brand announced on Facebook on April 7.

“Not enough can be said about the transformative power of education, it is the ultimate catalyst of change, development and progress- and our fundamental right,” wrote the designer on his eponymous brand’s Facebook page to announce the launch. “Educating girls, all girls, remains the need of the hour in India, for a better and brighter future where all women are educated, empowered and free to live a life of their own making.”

“I am honoured to collaborate with an iconic global brand like Starbucks to help amplify a cause so dear to my heart,” wrote Mukherjee. “I hope this collaboration sparks hope, creates change and helps give back to a most worthy cause.”
