SaaS platform Unicommerce to add 1,000 brands in five months
Unicommerce, a Software as a Service platform for retail brands, plans to add an additional 1,000 brands to its roster in the coming five months. The business already works with fashion brand Biba and skincare brand Wow Skin Science among others.
“We are building a sustainable business with a focus on growth and profitability as we continue to penetrate in India and international markets,” said Unicommerce’s CEO Kapil Makhija, ET Retail reported. Unicommerce recently announced that it is expanding into 10 countries in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
Unicommerce expects to report 100% year-on-year growth in terms of new client acquisition, the business announced in a media release. The business onboarded over 1,800 online businesses in the first half of the 2023 financial year, including 200 enterprise accounts. Brands with which Unicommerce works include Sleepwell, Timex, Evenflow, Newme, and 10Club among others.
SaaS is a software distribution model where a cloud provider hosts applications and is responsible for making them available to end users. SaaS platforms license their software on a subscription basis and the software delivery enables users to access data from any device with an internet connection.
