S&N by Shantanu and Nikhil present 'SN Safari' at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week

On Wednesday, S&N by Shantanu and Nikhil presented looks for a futuristic safari with a Desi twist at its phygital showcase at Fashion Design Council of India x Lakme Fashion Week.

 
SN by Shantanu and Nikhil presented autumn/winter 2021 men’s and womenswear collection ‘SN Safari’ with a fashion film-meets-runway show for an online and offline fusion fashion week which also marked the first joint edition of FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week. The collection was wearable, modern, and full of nods to the classic Indian tailoring that the design duo have become known for.
 
The collection was, “a compilation of edgy designs that adds stimulating hints of a safari aesthetic to luxurious getaway wardrobes, the collection is strongly inspired by the belief in celebrating all things on the move,” Lakme Fashion Week announced on Facebook, presenting the brand’s fashion film.

The show was presented as a live stream on both the FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week websites, as well as their respective social media accounts. 
 
Although rooted in the idea of celebration wear, SN Safari is designed for the millennial consumer and their slightly more practical needs. Experimental silhouettes, monochrome hues, and harness-style accessories made a strong statement.
 
The collection also marked Shantanu and Nikhil’s one year anniversary for ready-to-wear brand S&N, launched during the pandemic last year. The brand is designed to be a youth-focused, wearable take on the designers’ vision and retails from its dedicated e-commerce site.
