Rupa & Company to expand product portfolio, aims to double revenue by 2022

Leading knitwear brand Rupa & Company sees huge potential for growth in the Indian market and will be expanding its retail presence along with its offerings with an aim to double its revenue by 2022.

The company will strengthen its presence in central, north and south Indian markets. For the fiscal year 2018-19, Rupa & Co had reported a net profit of Rs 93 crore ($13.1 million) with sales revenue of Rs 1,108 crore.
 
 “Over the last 50 years, Rupa has successfully become a household name. Currently, we see huge growth potential in womenswear, kidswear and athleisure,” said K.B. Agarwala, managing director at Rupa & Company, told the Hindu.

“Also, we are focussing on inner wear and outer wear as well. More premium products will be launched in the future and this segment will drive the next phase of growth,” CEO at Rupa & Co Dinesh Lodha added.
 
Rupa is also looking to boost its exports and will be targeting markets like Africa and West Asia for growth.
 
“We have been exporting to Africa but now we are focussing more on that market and West Asia where demand for our products is huge. Our target is to double our export revenue in two years,” Lodha further added.

Rupa & Company Limited is one of the largest knitwear brands in India that produces innerwear, casual wear, thermal wear, and sleepwear for men, women, and kids.
