Rupa & Company Q3 net profit declines 5 percent to Rs 23 crore
Rupa & Company Limited witnessed a 5 percent drop in its net profit to Rs 23 crore ($3.3 million) for the third quarter ended December 2018 as compared to Rs 24 crore it had reported during the previous quarter ended December 2017.
The company’s sales revenue for the quarter rose just 2 percent to Rs 283 crore during the quarter as against Rs 277 crore it had posted in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Rupa & Co Limited is one of the largest knitwear brands in India that produces innerwear, casual wear, thermal wear, and sleepwear for men, women and kids. It also sells international brands like FCUK and Fruit of the Loom as licensee brands.
Last month it completed 50 years in the market and has managed to associate with over 800 business partners from all over the country to strengthen its market position. The company has set a target of achieving Rs 2,000 crore in revenue by 2020.
