Rupa and Company Ltd Q4 net profit down 25 percent to Rs 49 crore

Rupa and Company Ltd reported a 25 percent decline in its net profit to Rs 49 crore ($6.4 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 2022, as against Rs 65 crore it posted in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue during the quarter increased by one percent to Rs 459 crore, as against Rs 457 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

For the financial year 2021-22, Rupa reported an income of Rs 1,484 crore while its net profit stood at Rs 191 crore.

Commenting on the results, Dinesh Kumar Lodha, CEO of Rupa and Company Ltd in a statement said, “We are happy to have delivered another year with increasing growth as we build upon the momentum generated over the last two years. On our journey to achieve ambitious targets, for the second year running, we have recorded highest ever full year revenue & PAT in the company’s history. The growth can be attributed to our efforts in scaling up high margin businesses and strengthening our retail footprint nationwide.”

“Our focus on key growth areas has shown good traction in this year and set the platform for a robust growth in the upcoming financial year 2022-2023. We have always been committed to our long-term goal of providing the highest level of consumer satisfaction with our products and brands and we are confident of achieving robust operational and financial performance going ahead,” he added.

Rupa & Company Limited is one of the largest knitwear brands in India that produces innerwear, casual wear, thermal wear, and sleepwear for men, women, and kids.
