The sixteenth edition of Runway Rising opened on the 5th July in New Delhi at the Ashok Hotel to showcase over 100 upcoming fashion and lifestyle brands.

The event was set up much like a convention or trade fair with designers and brands from all over India displaying their wares on stalls. Traditional Indian clothing was represented as much as western inspired designs and brands such as Rasa Couture, House of Zeniaa, Folklore by Sana and Tanika, Tiasha, and Ritu Mehta Studio exhibited. Many jewellery brands also held stalls including Brahma Gems, Desi Bijouu, Dyu Fine Jewels, and Taraash/Aarteez. A range of other accessories and homeware could also be found at the fair.

Brands used the fair as both a publicity opportunity and a chance to sell their products in New Delhi as the show was open to both traders and buyers alike. Product pricing began at 2,000 rupees and catered to all price points. A Bloggers Lounge was set up for press and Sarbat Photography documented the event.

Founded by Ramola Bachchan in 2012, Runway Rising has organised over 20 shows in the last four years. Runway Rising is registered in New Delhi. The next event by Ramola Bachchan, Runway Bridal, is scheduled for the 2nd-3rd September and will again take place at the Ashok Hotel.
