Runway Rising to return to Delhi in July

The fashion and lifestyle exhibition Runway Rising will return to the capital for a summer showcase on July 3 for its 23rd edition. The event will promote up-and-coming designers and forge links between online and offline retail.

Fashion events organiser Ramola Bachchan will bring her Runway Rising event to the Ashok Hotel in Chankyapuri, New Delhi on July 3 for a summer themed fashion exhibition. The business to customer event will focus on fashion and accessories but will also include product categories such as handicrafts, home décor, and food.

The event will have a focus on occasion and traditional wear but will also include fusion and western wear for women. Menswear, children’s wear and jewellery will also feature to create a one-stop-shop for the family for festive occasions. Bridal wear will also feature as part of the event and Bachchan will also hold the wedding-themed Runway Bridal event in August ahead of the autumn wedding season.

The summer edition will follow on from the recent Spring Fair that took place on April 10. Stall booking is currently open for July and participating designers in the April 22nd edition included My Glamm, Night Angels by PC, Devanshi Renu Jewels, Shri Paramani Jewels, Nysa & Shubhangi, Kylee, Balance by Rohit Bal, and Blueberry.

Bachchan has posted on her social media and explained in numerous interviews that she sees Runway Rising as a platform to promote up-and-coming Indian brands to a wider audience. Bachchan also believes that in an age of booming fashion e-commerce, offline events are essential to create excitement around brands and provide experiences that cannot be replicated online. As the event is gearing up for its 23rd edition, Bachchan appears to have found a winning formula.
