Roseroom by Isha predicts more intimate weddings in 2021, launches new lines for modern brides
Roseroom founder Isha Rajpal predicts that, as weddings restart, brides will be looking for new types of designs suited to more intimate celebrations with more potential for luxury and a greater need for storytelling.
As easing lockdown regulations give rise to wedding plans, the bridal wear industry is gearing up begin its recovery from the second wave of Covid-19. However, as the pandemic is far from over, brands are looking to cater to brides planning smaller events and designing the clothes to match.
“Weddings in 2021, as per me, will become more intimate not just in numbers but also in experience,” said Rajpal in a press release.
“Weddings will now have the opportunity of being more luxurious and bespoke with a keen eye on details. Experiences will be the key and storytelling will lie at the heart of it. The decor, the entertainment, the food and beverage arrangements, everything will be more heartfelt and reflect the personalities of the bride and groom because it will truly be for their closest family and friends.”
Rajpal’s new collection for her brand Roseroom mixes slightly more paired-down traditional ensembles such as monochrome red sarees and lehengas with modern options such as pastel hued double-breasted suits. Designed to be more comfortable to wear as well as versatile but still in the luxury category, the brand’s new bridal lines also feature numerous ensembles suitable to be worn at multiple occasions for customers purchasing prudently.
In February this year, Roseroom launched its first flagship store in Ambawatta One in Mehrauli, New Delhi. Rajpal originally launched the brand in 2014 and it has become known for its highly feminine aesthetic and its evening wear.
