Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna launched their latest menswear and womenswear collection with a flurry of glitter and refined tailoring on the final day of LMIFW’s first digital season, organised by the Fashion Design Council of India. The collection was available to shop online as it debuted on the runway, a different retail approach for the festive season.

The film created to launch Parallax was conceptualised by the design duo themselves, and was directed and edited by Neeraj Hinduja. The film’s assistant cinematographer was Harsh Pahuja and production was managed by Karma Productions.

The collection was designed to blend, “the mystery of the current global events into a whimsical subversive twist,” the brand announced on its Facebook page.

“Re-creating architectural traces interconnected in each garment with effortless finesse combining craftsmanship and bespoke clothing. Reflecting motion blended together creating a Parallax.”

Figure hugging gowns for women and sharply tailored suits for men were covered in glittering beads and subtle, feather-like embroidery.

Velvet and sheer textiles added dimension to the collection and all-black looks were contrasted with all-red looks for a bold yet refined aesthetic. Notable looks included a floor-length gown covered in tiny feathers and a billowing red dress with draped string detailing.
