On August 24, Rohit Gandhi- Rahul Khanna will showcase a collection titled “Interstellar” at the St Regis in Mumbai at a runway show sponsored by Maruti Suzuki’s car brand Nexa. The men’s and womenswear collection will have a colour palette of black, white, shades of grey, and the signature “Nexa” blue.

With an astral inspiration, Interstellar will feature textiles including satins, silks, tulles, and organza. Detailing such as crystals, fringing, and translucent sequins will add drama and there will be many evening wear looks for the upcoming festive season.

“Mumbai has always been in our hearts,” Rahul Khanna told Indo- Asian News Service about the duo’s return to Mumbai this season. “All these years we have showcased at the fashion week in Delhi and we didn’t want to show the same collection twice, just because we are showing in a different city. Nexa invited us and Lakme is very close to our hearts so we were happy to take the opportunity.”

“The designers have been awarded the “Best Collections” for men and women on numerous occasions,” said Maruti Suzuki’s Shashank Srivastava in a statement. “The designer duo… is perfect to integrate the values of Nexa at the fashion week.”

Lakme Fashion Week began on August 21 and will run until August 25. The fashion week is currently celebrating its 20th birthday.
