Rohit Bal to open ICW 2017, Manish Malhotra grand finale designer

Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra will bring the curtains down at the India Couture Week (ICW) 2017, while designers Rohit Bal & Anamika Khanna will kick start the fashion fiesta with glamorous offsite shows on July 24 in New Delhi. India Couture Week 2017 will conclude on July 30.

"Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal have been the epicentre of the fashion world. They will open the India Couture Week with their trademark grandeur setting enviable trends for a discerning audience while Manish Malhotra will close the show," said Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI, in a statement.
 
At ICW 2016, Manish Malhotra opened the couture week with Bollywood actors Fawad Khan and Deepika Padukone walking the ramp as showstoppers and Rohit Bal was the finale designer.

Rohit Bal will showcase his collection 'Khush Posh', which highlights an amalgamation of traditional craft with modern sensibilities preserving its timeless beauty at the restored Bikaner House.

"The collection is an ode to lost craft and tradition. A journey from the past to the present with a gentle nudge of contemporary influences," said Bal in a statement.
 
This is the10th year of the FDCI's flagship event and the seven days spectacle will feature the country's leading couturiers like Anita Dongre, Anju Modi, Gaurav Gupta, Manav Gangwani, Monisha Jaising, Rahul Mishra, Manish Malhotra, Reynu Taandon, Rina Dhaka, Shyamal & Bhumika, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl.
