“Couture has to be larger-than-life," Rohit Bal said in a statement. "It must have a narrative that mirrors the dreams of millions of women and men who desire a bridge between modernity and tradition. My show will be a celebration of everything that the heritage and culture stands for -- embroideries and romantic love for colour.”

Sunil Sethi, president of FDCI, said: "A leading luminary in the world of fashion.Rohit has been one of the few designers who remained committed to crafts and never deviated from the brand’s fervent ideology of untamed elegance. We look forward to his creativity on the only offsite show of this event,”  added.

The 11th edition of the India Couture Week 2018 will begin on July 25 with leading designers Tarun Tahiliani and Anju Modi showcasing their collections on the first day.

ICW is being organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) in collaboration with Hindustan Times and Sunil Sethi Design Alliance.
