Rohit Bal’s womenswear showcase presented a film of models walking through what appeared to be a dried up river bed in the designer’s signature traditional finery. The collection was mainly fabricated from organic textiles, with added luxury in the form of Chanderi and brocades.

The colour palette was a classic mix of reds and whites with gold metallic detailing and intricately embroidered flowers adorned anarkalis and gowns to create the feel of a blossoming garden. Bal also closed India Runway week for the 2019 autumn season and he is a prominent fixture at the fashion week

Following the new ‘buy from the runway’ format, the collection has launched in Rohit Bal flagship stores across India and on the brand’s dedicated e-commerce store, Bal shared in a video for India Runway Week. Bal also mentioned that the collection includes a number of affordable options, acknowledging the current economic difficulties.

The designer has had a busy season. At the end of summer, Rohit Bal launched new line Alexander Jeans as a men’s denim brand. The line features classic denim jeans along with numerous designs that feature Bal’s signature nature inspired embroidery.
