Jenjum Gadi showcased his spring/ summer 2020 menswear collection on the runway at LMIFW in the capital on Thursday. The collection mixed classic western tailoring with a rock and roll spirit.

All black ensembles were heavily embellished with opulent sequins and beads as well as hard-edged studs and spikes. Abstract patterns mixed with bee motifs and casual wear staples were elevated with Gadi’s striking embellishment technique. As well as menswear staples such as bomber jackets and denim jackets, more androgynous pieces like long skirts and mesh trousers gave the collection a softer touch.

Munkee.See Munkee.Do’s collection was simple, feminine, and modest while quirky abstract prints gave it character. Designers Teresa Laisom and Utsav Pradhan’s fine pattern cutting gave the collection a luxury feel and the colour palette of grey, white, red, burgundy, and green seen in shirt dresses and suits was both chic and confident.

Naturally Anuradha presented a selection of pristine traditional wear for her spring/ summer 2020 collection. Jewel toned sarees with gold patterning and simply tailored lehengas were a vision of regal poise. Black sarees featuring brightly coloured prints were especially striking and the designer herself, Anuradha Pegu, closed the collection in a black and red saree.

Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week runs from October 9 to 13 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at India Gate in New Delhi. The fashion week runs twice a year and is organised by the Fashion Design Council of India. This season, the fashion week’s theme is “My Fashion My Tribe”.
