Rishi Vasudev appointed CEO of Lifestyle International

Dubai-based Lifestyle International has appointed Flipkart’s Rishi Vasudev as the chief executive officer (CEO) for the company’s lifestyle and home centre business.

Vasudev will take on his role from June 1, 2020, and work alongside Vasanth Kumar to ensure a smooth leadership transition. He will lead Lifestyle’s ambitious growth plans in the coming years.
 
Vasanth Kumar will be stepping down from the position of managing director of Lifestyle International in June this year.

Commenting on the appointment, H Ramanathan chairman of the board, Lifestyle International India, in a statement said: “We are delighted to welcome Rishi on board. His experience in fashion and consumer understanding will be a great asset to our business. He shares our group’s people and customer focus and his rich online and technology expertise will also be integral to bringing innovative solutions to our omnichannel business goals.”
 
Vasudev has more than 21 years of experience in fashion and retail – both online & offline. Vasudev was promoted to senior vice president at Flipkart last year, working for Flipkart CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy. Before joining the Flipkart group, Vasudev was the CEO of Calvin Klein in India.
 
Lifestyle commenced its operations in India in 1999 and currently has more than 80 stores in India. The company had reported sales of Rs 8,467 crore ($1.19 billion) with a net profit to Rs 426 crore for the year ended March 2019.
