Rimzim Dadu showcases jewel-toned collection at LMIFW

Rimzim Dadu showcased a sculptural and jewel-toned collection for spring/ summer 2020 at Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week on Wednesday.

Rimzim Dadu presented her latest collection on the runway on day one of LMIFW. The men’s and womenswear collection played with metallic textiles to create sculptural forms including waves and sharp lines. 

Gowns and sarees in silver, gold, black, and rich tones looked almost dripping in water and men’s futuristic sherwanis also featured the metal-esque textiles. As well as its theatrical occasion wear, the collection also featured some more casual pieces such as men’s jackets and shorts and women’s cut-out style tops and wide-leg trousers. 

Rimzim Dadu founded her eponymous brand in 2007 after graduating from Pearl Academy. The women’s and menswear brand is stocked in a number of multi-brand boutiques across India as well as in Sri Lanka and the Middle East. 

Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week launched in the capital on October 9. The event, organised by the Fashion Design Council of India, will run until October 13 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at India Gate in New Delhi. This season, the fashion week’s theme is “My Fashion My Tribe”.
