The exhibition, which launched on Sunday, is titles ‘Rite of Passage’ and features a wide array of textiles by the brand, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art announced on Facebook. Rimzim Dadu is known for its use of unconventional materials to create textiles for sarees, lehengas, and gowns, its most famous being its liquid-look sculpted metal saree.

“The exhibit is open to the public for a week, and presents our reinterpretations and experiments with India’s textile heritage,” Dadu told Vogue India about the exhibition. “My favourite section is what we call the ‘wall of failed experiments’ as an ode to our swatches that never made the final cut. KNMA is such a prolific patron of art in the country. And the chance to showcase my pieces surrounded by the best artists in India felt like such an impactful statement to make. It’s really the perfect space to showcase my journey of 15 years.”

The brand is also celebrating 15 years in business by gearing up to launch a home textiles segment. Rimzim Dadu plans to expand its international distribution network this year to reach more customers overseas.
