Rimowa and Aesop unveil luxury travel kit

Premium luggage brand Rimowa and Australian skincare brand Aesop have unveiled a collaboration aimed at the luxury traveller.

Launching on Friday 26 October in a limited number, the Köln Travel Kit includes a curated selection of nine Aesop formulations stored in a small aluminium case, referencing Rimowa’s popular aluminium luggage.

The products, including a Classic Shampoo and Conditioner, and Toothpaste and Mouthwash, are nestled in a custom-built wooden inlay which is inspired by the Rimowa Travel Humidor. The aluminium shell is designed to be reused for other purposes once its original contents have been used.

“Rimowa and Aesop share a meticulous approach to craftsmanship and an abiding interest in pared-back utilitarian design,” said Dr Kate Forbes, Aesop GM of Product and R&D. “Our shared pursuit of quality design led us to collaborate on creating a timeless, portable travel kit."

“The Köln Travel Kit is a perfect example of functional luxury," added Hector Muelas, chief brand officer at Rimowa.

Aesop’s Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser and Body Balm, and a trio of Parsley Seed Skin Care staples are also included in the travel kt, which will be available for purchase for £350 in selected Aesop and Rimowa stores and online.
