Next Friday, Ridhi Mehra will present her winter/ festive collection on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week at the St Regis in Mumbai. This season, Mehra has added a modern twist to her take on traditional wear and will present a range of lehengas and gowns inspired by two unique Indian cultures, Gujarati and Kashmiri. Bohemian styling will also feature in the collection with ruffled sleeves and long, flowing skirts.

"I am thrilled to be back at  Lakmé  Fashion Week once again,” said Mehra, according to the brand’s press release. “This season the collection is an opulent take on the rich and traditional culture of India."

Mehra launched her eponymous brand in 2012 after graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Delhi and the University of Nottingham, UK. The brand has now expanded from womenswear to also encompass footwear, accessories, menswear, and lifestyle products.

Lakme Fashion Week will run from August 21 to 25 in Mumbai and is sponsored by the makeup brand Lakme, IMG Reliance, and Nexa among others. The fashion week’s winter/ festive edition marks its 20th birthday.
